The WYDOT Teton Pass cam sure has changed things. With the Teton Pass Cam, you can be sitting at home in Jackson, Wy, or Miami, Fl, and see exactly what is happening with the weather. Is it snowing? The pass cam doesn't lie. And it's even better at night because they have a light shining down on the parking lot which accentuates the snow. I try not to look at it right before I go to bed because I have a hard time sleeping if it's dumping up there. ![]() WYDOT Teton Pass Cam I just read an article in the New Yorker about Surf Cams. Some private individuals and some commercial companies have set up surf cams so surfers can tell when the surf is up and then determine if they should stay at work or go surf. Of course, the deskbound surfers love it, because often they are couped up in an office and can't tell if the surf is good or not. But some hard core surf bums (the equivilant of a foam-core-skier) are not happy. They think it makes the surf too crowded. What I'm wondering is why we don't have these cams AND lights on all the passes. That way, the poor cube slaves can at least torture themselve while they toil away the day. Or better yet, they can start thinking of an excuse to tell the boss so they can make a surgical strike.

Want to see pass cams in colorado? Go to cotip.org and click on traffic cams. It shows some of the passes. also try the closest ski area they all have cams. Better yet live in the San Juans and rip fresh all the time. It's the only life.
