We decided to do an exploration into Mail Cabin to see what the storm snow was like. During and right after the storm, the snow was wind affected and upside down.
Up at Targhee, the high ridges and snowfields were very wind affected. In Mail Cabin, we found the opposite: ridges and bowls were coated with creamy dense powder that was very fast and fun to ski. We found great snow on north and west aspects. The sun had not yet affected the west aspects.
