Day 34 – Mail Cabin

Our last two storms came in like a lion and went out like a lion, and the lion stayed even after the storm was gone. The lion is, of course, the wind. The result was some serious wind destruction of the snow. The Mail Cabin area is pretty much blown out. Much of the snow there is hard wind board. The rest is very dense and heavy powder or sun crust. The only light powder you will find is on the valley floors.
