We’ve had a series of small storms that keep bringing small amounts of snow to the Tetons. The small amounts add up to deep snow if you can find untracked snow.
We had such good luck on Hidden Splendor bowl two days ago, we went back. There was about 12″ of new snow and our tracks from the previous trip were mostly covered.
The crusted southerly aspects were soft and you couldn’t not feel the crust while skiing down. The northerly aspects were even better with ski penetration of about 15-20″.
The wind built as the day went on and seemed to change directions, first southwest, then north east. All of the snow was a little wind affected but very nice to ski.
