Day 60 – Undoubtabowl

Distance: 5.4 miles

Vertical: 4,827'

I desperately needed a rest day today, but the storms did not cooperate: 10-14″ predicted today.

It has been snowing on and off since February 4. I’ve been waiting for this kind of durable storm cycle all winter, so kinda hard to stay home when the skiing is so good.

I sent out a text at 6:30am to my faithful followers, but after 30 minutes, I still had not received a reply. Maybe I’d get my rest day after all.

Turns out there was some doubt in my followers: LTC drove back to Colorado this morning even though he knew another big storm was coming. The RAM team was tired and sore. And PC was probably making a latte and trying to negotiate another day on the hill.

But 3 of the 4 doubters returned to the fold and were rewarded with 4,827 of light, deep powder.
