Another early start on the Pass. I got there at 7:20 and the lot was 2/3 full. Nine inches in two days. I was hoping to find some untracked snow.
It didn’t seem like there was nine of new snow, and there was a hard crust about 5′ down. I figured low angle would be better for float, so I went to Terribowl. It’s usually wind blown, but sometimes, you can find it untracked and coated with lovely powder.
It felt a little wind blown at the top, but after a few turns it felt pretty good. Unfortunately, my first line crossed a bunch of frozen tracks. If I wanted frozen tracks I’d ski off piste at Targhee.
I adjust my line accordingly, and found the goods; it would about a 12″ deep. I did five more laps.
