Day 12 – Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places

Distance: 8.96 miles

Vertical: 3220'

The sun came out today. We went to a south facing area because those aspects are supposed to be safer because they don’t have the dangerous October layer.

The snow was nice and seemed stable. About 3-4′ deep. Like yesterday, the grabby layer lies below the 5-6″ of light powder on top. It was nice to ski, but the sun quickly affected the snow. There will be a crust tomorrow on all southerly aspects.
