Day 25 – Delectabowl

Distance: 8 miles

Vertical: 3500'

So far, it’s been a mediocre ski season. The avalanche report said around 8 inches of new snow. That’s not enough snow to cover old tracks, especially old tracks in heavy snow. As far as I’m concerned, that’s mogul skiing.

We needed to go somewhere that skiers hadn’t been. After a week of minimal snow, that means extra effort.

We put in the effort, and we were lucky to get the reward. Best skiing of the season. I should have stuck to my motto, “If they skiing is good, ski til you puke. It might be raining tomorrow.” It didn’t rain, it blew!
