Day 3 – Teton Pass

Distance: 2 miles

Vertical: 1200'

The avalanche report said 6″ since yesterday. They also said that some areas of the Tetons had received 15″ so far. I didn’t believe it so I decided to go for another walk to find out. I was the first one at the Pass parking lot.

They were right. It’s amazing how much different it can be two days later. I found a low angle bowl and skied down. There was at least a foot of heavy, upside down snow. Difficult to ski, but it was untracked “powder”.

And more snow on the way. We’ll see. The Tetons seems to have an anti storm force field pushing the storms around us.
